Jeff Strom Sends in Some pics of his buddies bike (that I think I've seen before). And What a beauty it is.  Those pipes are pure porn..

He Writes in:

Hey,
Love your blog, thought I would suggest a bike. I rode with
Mark (who built and owns this buzz bomb), with some triples,
about a month ago. This bike runs as sweet as it looks ...

(aka: K_trip - with that green '74 H2)

No Problem Jeff.  Thanks Much for the great shots!

Aaron sent me a nice silhouette shot of his stable the other day along with a link to his flickr stream.  While perusing his photos I stumbled across this stunner of a custom Triumph Scrambler.  WOW!  Aaron I hope you don't mind (and if you do I'll pull them immediately) but I'm a huge Triumph fan and couldn't pass these up.

By the way your original submital is excellent and included below. I'd love to see more angles of the Duck and especially Beemer.

Thanks Very Much

Aarons original note:
Hey!
I got a bit inspired on Sunday and had some fun with my DSLR and Photoshop; I ended up with what I think is a very good photo of my two bikes ('75 BMW R75/6 and '06 Ducati Multistrada 1000s) that you and your readers might like. The original is attached, and other sizes are at my flicker acct (under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to use what you like), here:
Cheers!

Here's the shanghaied Triumph...

And the original submittable.  Excellent Shot!

Good Morning,
Its a 2003 Suzuki DR650 with a few mods and it gos like stink!
Cheers!

Later he updated me with some build details:

Hey Steve,
Thanks for your comments.Like you said great handling bike just cluttered and a little ugly. The rear rim is a stock 17" the front I changed to 18" it balanced the profile and lowered it an inch. The front and rear suspension were lowered 3" and still has 7" of travel.I cut about 12" off the back frame and welded a new hoop.Seat pan is stock with new foam. The tank is off an old Harley and mounted like the factory. The exhaust, side panels and head light bracket are all one off made by me.The oil cooler I remounted off the front of the frame. All the old tabs were cut and ground off to clean up the frame. The stance of the bike came out perfect and I can still lower it an inch front or rear. The motor is stock except for the pipe, jet kit and K&N filter.Tires are Scorpion A/Ts.The bike is for sale so I can start a new project over the winter.

I'm not interested in becoming a for sale site but if anyone's interested I'll get you Mike's Contact info. I think it great and I'd seriously consider buying it myself but I've alead got a DR650 (much more stock) that I'm modding.

Damm. Words escape me...

...and not on a small scale either. They're talking MotoGP. Is it possible that the new Rotary has been developed to the point that it could compete in GP? Will the rules even allow for a rotary bike? If not GP can it race in WSB? This should be interesting. Turn up the volume LOUD!

Here are some vids of the new Rotax powered racebike being developed....

And of the original early 90's F1 Rotax bikes warming up.. "Filmed at Bob Mac memorial race meeting at East Fortune on 14/6/09"

I absolutely love this bike. Like a DR650 only with even more torque!!

Terra Mostro builds bikes like these with 695 Monsters. this guy wanted a bit more power so he had them build this thing. I imagine he succeeded!

Stock specs on and SR4S:
Horsepower: 117.0 @ 9750 rpm
Torque: 68.2 lb.-ft. @ 7500 rpm
Corrected 1/4-mile: 10.71 sec. @ 126.57 mph 0-60 mph 3.12 sec.
Top-gear roll-on: 3.32 sec.

Only one in existence and it's for sale over on Adventure Rider for just shy of $20K. And probably worth it!

A very Skinny BSA

Now you see it...

Now you don't...

UPDATE: Here is the previous post I had of this beauty from Dec 09. Man what a looker!

I'm sure I've posted this bike on here in the past but I don't have time to dig up the link at the moment.

Now it's FOR SALE

The description from the for sale ad lists the following:

I received an e-mail in response to this post (2 posts down) from the builder to inform me...  Well here's what he wrote:

Hi ,
Somebody placed my Guzzi on your blog as picture of the day. (ED: I found it on ADV Rider)
Well that was a picture taken long ago..now it looks like this and its still a work in progress.
We have steepend the headstock 2 degrees,
Modified a 6 inch aprila wheel to 5,7 inch for perfect alignment.
Removed injection i favor of 42mm mikunis
MV Agusta front end with bespoke fork bottoms for radial calipers ect ect ect.
Now iIm adding a aircraft oil temp and pressure gauge in the tank... it never stops

Jasper

Wow!  Thanks Very Much for the Information, the Picture and the Link to your Guzzi forum thread.  Fantastic!

Saw this over on Ottonero. (please check him out). That thing is bitchin! Everyone who kicks areound with thumpres generall agree that these big singles are a freaking blast and as a DR650 owner this gives me expensive thoughts.

Saw this over on the always excellent Sideburn blog (please check them out regularly)...

An alert reader led me to this bike for sale on E-bay. Link here while it lasts...

Last Sat. I was in San Rafael (See Hattar Motorsports on facebook about the build) & spied this bike. Let me tell you that NCR does not stand for National Cash Register anymore. It stands for a ridiculously light, (& obscenely expensive) Carbon fiber & Titanium custom Ducati Hypermotard. I have to say one of the most desireable bikes I've ever seen, & quite an accomplishment to shave almost 100lbs. off an already very light bike. (286lbs, 96Ft.lbs Tq, 120 Horsepower.) The owner (a former short track racer) says he can't even describe what it's like to ride...I'll bet... Should be in an upcoming Cycle world.

Pure Porn. Thanks!
