Hot Damm!

Phil Writes in:

Hi,
My name is Phil G. and i live in Portland Or. I would like to share some pics of my 71 cb750. This has been my project for the last 2 1/2 years. I would like to sit here and tell you that i did it all myself but i have to give credit were credit is due. While the over all concept and design of the bike was all me there are a few very important elements to it that would not have been possible without help from some very talented friends of mine so i have to say thanks to Sam Hill for welding the custom oil tank and the 5" stretch into the fuel tank, and to Sean Smith for laying down the beautiful black paint, Paul Burdette for the stage 3 port job and general engine building help, Ginger Mccabe of New Church Customs for the seat pad, and to Deon Staffelbach for the awesome photography, other than that i pretty much did everything myself.
here is a list of mods and custom parts
     engine bored out to 850
     stage three ported head
     super flow valves
     webcam 63a grind
     cyclex super rods
balanced and lightened crank and rotor
     under cut tranny
all new bearings and chains inside
     cr 29 carbs
     custom aluminum oil tank
stock fuel tank stretched 5" with knee dents
custom rear sets (modeled after dunstall rear sets from the 70's)
     custom s.s. muffler
          Anyway, thanks for looking
                  Phil

My pleasure Phil.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to Craig NOS in the comments and a link to a French message board.

Racer made by Sebastien in the south of France (Var) then sold. More details in the forum link. I am looking for more information.Craig NOS from Ze Craignos Monstercycles.blog

And one more bonus pic lifted from over there: Stunner!

I really want to know more bout this bike but I found it in a really obscure place. Can anyone enlighten me a bit on what must be a fairly well known ride in BMW circles?

I'm really happy to give you this picture of my Benelli Tornado 650.The work was long but the result is unique.  More nice Benelli shots here http://www.wix.com/benellitornado/650

Thanks Very Much!

Filip Vukovic Sends in sends in some pics of his nicely sorted Cafe'd T100

Hey Mate,
I have been following your lovely blog for a while (keeps me sane at work) and I thought that you guys might like my modest little steed.
It was a 2003 Bonnie T100 and now she’s a little racer!
Mods are nothing to flash but a 904cc big bore and some bits and pieces keeps things interesting.

I will have to send multiple emails as my work email won’t let me send all the photos at once.
Love the site man; it’s a great mix of bikes. Keep up the good work!!
Regards

Second Update.  Thanks once again to our very knowledgeable commentators (thanks Tony) I have been informed that this is a creation of Ritmo Sereno (maybe I should try reading the decals on the bikes).  A seriously drool-worthy Japanese base builder of custom European machines.  Here is a direct link to one of the bikes below.   I can't help you with the translation but the pictures speak for themselves.

Update:  A clarification.  As was pointed out in the comments I think it's possible that this is the same bike but not really likely.  They are similar enough to make for an interesting blog entry but probably different rides.  Probably the same builder.  That or they knew (of) each other.

Now it's a racebike....

Add lights and remove the pan and now it's a Cafe... or is it the other way around.   Stunning bike(s) either way.

From the Toronto Mods Vs Rockers... Thanks Jim...

Some very nice modern touches.  Somehow they manage not to overpower the rest of the bike.  Found it over on ADV Rider Cafe Racer Thread.

Jeff from Billet Proof Customs sends in some pics of this trick Build. Lots of great touches.  Do yourself a favor and go check out the rest of his build over on his website.  The attention to detail is outstanding!

Jeff Writes in:

Thanks You Jeff! Really great ride!

For build pics see this link:CAFE OVERKILL

Update: Some new info is makeing it's way in about this georgous ride. I recieved an E-mail this morning from Frankenbike (click his link) who wrote:

The bike was built by Mr. Stephens @ Godffreys Garage. I made the clear points cover....he made the rest. Bike is sweeeeeeeet. great job.

Maybe I should just start a code system.  ASV for Vincent, ASMG(Mot Guzzi), ASD (Ducati), ASN (Norton, AST (Triumph) etc...

Although in this case it would be AS"E"V for Egli Vincent.

This is the finished product of yesterdays mock-up bike. If you're interested you can find the build thread HERE . Not to be a dick but I kind of prefer the high pipes. Might have been totally impracticable though. I've played around with similar styles of pipes and unless you like wearing asbestos pants there often is just no way you can do it.

I like it!

A very Skinny BSA

Now you see it...

Now you don't...

Hi Steve.....we are flattered that you like this bike. It was built by us, (Paul and Tim), at Titan Performance in Kent in the UK. We specialize in 500 cafe racers, and the parts needed to put a bike like this together. Take a look at our website and lots more pictures, on www.classic2strokesuzuki.com
best regards Paul.
